Ready to start your St. Patricks celebrations off with a little work and a lot of fun?
Grab your luckiest green running gear and join us March 14th on the beautiful paths of Lyons, Colorado. There will be 5K and 10K races for your whole clan to enjoy.

Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration
Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration will be at Shoes & Brews (63 S Pratt Pkwy Unit B, Longmont, CO 80501) Friday from 5:00-7:00p. Grab your packet and a microbrew from the coolest running store in Boco! If you’re unable to make the early pickup, we will have it available Saturday morning before the races.
 
Awards/Party
The racer party for all racers and Awards Ceremony will be in Lyons at Oskar Blues (303 Main St, Lyons, CO 80540) following the event. Bring your bib for beer specials! Racers will receive finisher’s awards as they cross the finish line. Placer’s awards will be distributed at the awards ceremony. Awards and mementos will not be mailed after the event.
 
Start/Finish Area
The Start/Finish line will be at Bohn park in Lyons. The park is located at 199 2nd Ave, Lyons, CO 80540. Your race number and packet will also be available at the Start/Finish Line beginning at TBD on Saturday. Packets will not be available after race start on Saturday.
 
Parking
Parking at Bohn Park is currently $5 for 4 hours. It is the most convenient for participants. There are kiosks in the parking area, which take credit card or cash. There is also free parking on the street and at LaVern M Johnson Park and Sandstone Park.
 
Course Surface
The courses include paved, gravel and dirt sections. You’ll get a little bit of everything!
 
Weather
Weather varies greatly in Colorado in March! The average temperature for March 14th in Lyons is a lovely 55 degrees. Please check the weather forecast and dress for the elements.
 
Dogs
We love dogs! Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to join us in the event. Please be considerate.

Staying on Course & Leave No Trace
Racers must stay on the designated course. Short-cutting will result in a disqualification. Please help us leave the trails better than we found them and deposit all trash in the proper containers.
 
Unforeseeable Circumstances
In the case of unforeseeable circumstances due to weather or other extenuating circumstances that prevents the safe continuation of the race, race officials may end the race at any given time. This rule will be implemented in the most extreme cases for the safety of the runners or officials.
 
Lost & Found
Items left at Aid Stations and lost & found items will be available at the Awards Ceremonies.
 
Local Laws
Federal, State, and County laws and ordinances must be followed at all times.
 
Refund Policy
30 Days or more prior to the Event: 85% credit of registration fee (excluding UltraSignup fees).
Less than 30 days prior to the Event: No refunds or credit given.
Credits may be applied to any future Gemini Adventures race and will be valid for 12 months.
Registered runners may also switch between distances. No refunds or credit will be given for dropping down in distance. If stepping up in distance, the added current pricing of the longer distance will be charged (excluding UltraSignup fees).
To request credits, log in to your UltraSignup account, and go to Registration History. Select Edit for the event, and scroll to the bottom of the page where Cancel Registration is linked. Follow the prompts.
There will be no entry transfers.

Course

Course
The courses are beautiful and rolling throughout the foothills surrounding Lyons CO. They include paved paths, gravel and dirt sections. You’ll get a little bit of everything!
 
Aid Stations
Aid Stations will be stocked with water for the 5K. The 10K will have water, Tailwind sports drink, and salty and sweet snacks.
 
 
5K Course:
Runners head out from Bohn Park on gravel paths towards the open space trails. This becomes a dirt road (watch for mud in the spring) and at one mile heads west toward the Picture Rock trailhead. There will be an aid station at this point (1.14mi). From there it’s back out and on to the two-track open space trails above Lyons High School before descending into the neighborhood below. You’ll shortly enter the scenic gravel paths and from there head to the finish line.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
10K Course:
Runners head out from Bohn Park on gravel paths towards the open space trails. This becomes a dirt road (watch for mud in the spring) and at one mile heads west toward the Picture Rock trailhead. There will be an aid station at this point (1.14mi). The road becomes a scenic paved rural road and runners will take a left turn on Old St Vrain towards the turnaround. At 1.6 miles runners will head back to the aid station. From there it’s back out to the two-track open space trails above Lyons High School before descending into the neighborhood below. You’ll shortly enter the scenic bike paths and from there head to the finish line.
