Registration is open!

Ready to start your St. Patrick’s celebrations off with a little work and a lot of fun? The Lucky Lyons races are happening!
Grab your luckiest green running gear and join us March 12th on the beautiful paths of Lyons, Colorado. There will be 5K and 10K races for your whole clan to enjoy.

Proceeds for 2022 will benefit the Lyons Community Foundation and the Boulder County Wildfire Fund.

Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration
Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration will be at Shoes & Brews Friday from 5:00-7:00p: 63 S Pratt Pkwy unit b, Longmont, CO 80501 . If you’re unable to make the early pickup, we will have it available Saturday morning before the races.
Awards/Party
The racer awards will be at Bohn Park following the races. Join us at the after party for all racers at Oskar Blues. Bring your bib for your free beer and food specials! Racers will receive finisher’s awards as they cross the finish line. Awards and mementos will not be mailed after the event.
Start/Finish Area
The Start/Finish line will be at Bohn park in Lyons. The park is located at 199 2nd Ave, Lyons, CO 80540. Your race number and packet will also be available at the Start/Finish Line beginning at TBD on Saturday. Packets will not be available after race start on Saturday.
Parking
Parking at the venue, inside of Bohn Park is currently $2 an hour and there is also a large free lot across the street. Both are the most convenient parking for participants. There are kiosks inside Bohn Park parking area, which take credit card or cash.
Course Surface
The courses include paved, gravel and dirt sections. You’ll get a little bit of everything!
Weather
Weather varies greatly in Colorado in March! The average temperature for March 14th in Lyons is a lovely 55 degrees. Please check the weather forecast and dress for the elements.
Dogs
We love dogs! Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to join us in the event. Please be considerate.

Staying on Course & Leave No Trace
Racers must stay on the designated course. Short-cutting will result in a disqualification. Please help us leave the trails better than we found them and deposit all trash in the proper containers.
Unforeseeable Circumstances
In the case of unforeseeable circumstances due to weather or other extenuating circumstances that prevents the safe continuation of the race, race officials may end the race at any given time. This rule will be implemented in the most extreme cases for the safety of the runners or officials.
Lost & Found
Items left at Aid Stations and lost & found items will be available at the Awards Ceremonies.
Local Laws
Federal, State, and County laws and ordinances must be followed at all times.
Refund Policy
30 Days or more prior to the Event: 85% credit of registration fee (excluding UltraSignup fees).
Less than 30 days prior to the Event: No refunds or credit given.
Credits may be applied to any future Gemini Adventures race and will be valid for 12 months.
Registered runners may also switch between distances. No refunds or credit will be given for dropping down in distance. If stepping up in distance, the added current pricing of the longer distance will be charged (excluding UltraSignup fees).
To request credits, log in to your UltraSignup account, and go to Registration History. Select Edit for the event, and scroll to the bottom of the page where Cancel Registration is linked. Follow the prompts.
There will be no entry transfers.

Course

Course
The courses are beautiful and rolling throughout the foothills surrounding Lyons CO. They include paved paths, gravel and dirt sections. You’ll get a little bit of everything!
Aid Stations
Aid Stations will be stocked with water for the 5K. The 10K will have water, sports drink, and salty and sweet snacks.
5K Course:
Runners head out from Bohn Park on gravel paths towards the open space trails. This becomes a dirt road (watch for mud after rainy spring days) and at one mile there will be an aid station. From here the course heads west toward the Picture Rock trailhead. Here runners will turn around and travel back towards the aid station and take a right into the neighborhood. After a section on the neighborhood roads you’ll enter the scenic gravel paths and from there head to the finish line.
10K Course:
Runners head out from Bohn Park on gravel paths towards the open space trails. This becomes a dirt road (watch for mud after rainy spring days) and at one mile there will be an aid station. From here the course heads west toward the Picture Rock trailhead. The road becomes a picturesque paved rural road and runners will take a left turn on Old St Vrain towards the turnaround. At 1.6 miles on the pavement, runners will head back toward the aid station. From there it’s back to trails the runners came out on. Pass the aid station then take a right into the neighborhood. After a section on the neighborhood roads you’ll enter the scenic gravel paths and from there head to the finish line.
